We love touting how great One Woman Shop membership is ourselves, but we thought it might be best to turn straight to the source: our members.
These women are right where you are: starting and up-leveling their solo businesses. They live and breathe solopreneurship, whether as full-timers or side hustlers, and are prime examples of the talent and tenacity we have within our One Woman Shop community.
Here’s what they have to say:
“If you’re launching a business by yourself, the small investment is beyond worth it for the connections and resources you will gain.”
“The One Woman Shop community gave me the inspiration and extra confidence I needed to quit my day job to pursue my graphic design side-gig full time. Even more importantly, this community has been an amazing source of information on starting a new business and best practices to keep it running. If you’re launching a business by yourself, the small investment is beyond worth it for the connections and resources you will gain.”

“If you’re tired of combing through the noise in overwhelming groups to make genuine connections with like-minded business owners, I strongly suggest gifting yourself a One Woman Shop membership.”
“Since joining One Woman Shop, I’ve seen a 180 in my business and I attribute it all to the support I’ve received and the mindset shifts I’ve made with help from the community and resources Cristina and Sara provide. One of my favorite aspects of membership is the monthly accountability groups where I’ve been able to receive support, advice, and the push to set goals and take the actions needed to achieve them. If you’re tired of combing through the noise in overwhelming groups to make genuine connections with like-minded business owners, I strongly suggest gifting yourself a One Woman Shop membership.”

“The community is amazing- it’s filled with women who are incredibly smart, savvy and most of all, supportive of one another.”
“After a year of reading the One Woman Shop blog, carrying the #OneWomanShopBaton on Instagram and engaging regularly with Cristina and Sara, the fabulous women who run the community, I figured it was high time I made it official. I became a member of One Woman Shop in early 2015 and now I can’t figure out why I didn’t join sooner!
The community is amazing- it’s filled with women who are incredibly smart, savvy and most of all, supportive of one another. One of my favorite parts of being a member is access to the private Facebook group where insightful and useful conversations take place on a daily basis. Complimentary access to courses, like Carrie Smith’s Solopreneur Finance: Managing Money on Your Own Terms, are another HUGE perk and opportunity for continued learning and professional development.
If you’re a solopreneur or a go-getter gal rocking a side hustle, I highly recommend you invest in your business AND yourself by joining One Woman Shop.”

“The Facebook community is a safe place filled with resourceful women.”
“I love being part of OWS! The blog content and products offered by Cristina and Sara is top notch, the Facebook community is a safe place filled with resourceful women who make the modest investment to be there (no free-preneurs looking for nothing but free advice everywhere), and the workshops and webinars they offer are quite stellar (the collaboration they’ve done recently with ConvertKit alone was worth the price of membership, IMHO).”

“While we may have similar business categories, each of us has some unique offering that we bring to the table.”
“I joined OWS because of the focus on each member’s unique business. While we may have similar business categories (design, writing, crafts, etc.) each of us has some unique offering that we bring to the table. I found that through the member directory and member profiles in various contributions such as Prior to the Hire or the Instagram takeovers, I could get more acquainted with other female solopreneurs and see how we’re all the same but different and find ways to help or contribute to each other’s endeavors.
After joining, I came to realize that there were a few other members in my geographic area and I’m excited to be getting a local OWS meetup off the ground so we can have some face time and see if there are any geographic advantages we can provide one another – like good local vendors, or coworking coffeeshop days.
I also really like the e-courses I have subscribed too and have come across so many useful new tools and tips that way. And the Twitter meetups are super fun and informative and help to keep that lonely solopreneur feeling at bay!”

“I constantly make connections through OWS… and my business thrives because of it.”
“I’ve been lucky enough to be a member of the OWS community from the beginning, when Cristina and I first worked together on the website copy. It’s been so inspiring to watch it evolve and to see Cristina — and now Sara’s — vision come to life. Together, they’ve done an amazing job of building an active community, rather than a group of observers — I constantly make connections through OWS Twitter chats and the Facebook group, and my business thrives because of it.”

“We are not in this alone.”
“I became a One Woman Shop member because I love to be a part of a community with like-minded business women. There have been some great tips and blog posts and the Facebook group has been fantastic. It’s nice to support each other and know that there are people who sometimes have the same questions as you do. We are not in this alone.
I particularly found that the e-course on finances is just what I needed. I was able to connect with Carrie and get help in an area where I have struggled. I would not have found her if I had not been an OWS member.”

“Finding OWS was great because I knew I would be connecting with a community of people who were experiencing the same struggles and successes that I was.”
“I became a One Woman Shop member because I was seeking support in my efforts to work for myself. I’ve tried to talk about the stuff I’m doing to friends and family, but they don’t quite get it, despite their encouragement. That could be pretty disheartening! So finding OWS was great because I knew I would be connecting with a community of people who were experiencing the same struggles and successes that I was.
I love the supportive community. Everyone is really helpful and motivated, and it’s great to be “around” that energy, even if it’s online. I love that people can bounce ideas off of each other, and ask for help when making business decisions, and because we’re all doing different ventures and in different stages of our careers, we can provide a ton of insight for each other. And Cristina and Sara are so involved and engaged! I’m blown away by the amount of time and effort they put into getting to know members. It feels great to know that they are so supportive of OWS’ers.
I’m most looking forward to continuing to engage with the community. Since creating the Facebook group, I feel like I’ve gotten to know other members so much better. As my business grows and I start to get a better handle on things, I look forward to sharing my experience and knowledge to help others in the group!”

“I owe my sanity to the OWS group…”
The One Woman Shop is the reason I am still so passionate about my own business after 4 years. I owe my sanity to the OWS group, this group of women help me to find the love and answers I wouldn’t always have working alone. In fact, the group is so helpful and amazing that it inspired me to start a 2nd business and for that support I am eternally grateful. Thank you OWS – you rock!

“What I love the most about my membership at OWS is the connections that I have made with other women entrepreneurs.”
“I found One Woman Shop before my business was really even born. I was still going to school for web development and dipping my toes in the water of working with clients on the side. I had no contacts or friends in business for themselves and really had no clue about what I was doing.
Then one day, I stumbled upon a link to One Woman Shop on Facebook and started reading their blog. It was like they were speaking to me, and I no longer felt alone! The articles and the resources offered on the website opened my eyes to a whole new world of what being a solopreneur is (in fact, I learned the meaning of that word there!).
What I love the most about my membership at OWS is the connections that I have made with other women entrepreneurs. I am still fairly new in my business journey and the opportunity to connect and learn from other powerhouse ladies designing and developing websites is out of this world!
One thing that I didn’t know to expect but I enjoy just as much is the connections and friendships that I have made with ladies outside of my field. I have learned so much from them about aspects of being a business owner that go so far beyond what I went to school for to do and I wouldn’t trade it for the world! I have gotten the chance to collaborate with people and do things that I never would have gotten the chance to do outside of the relationships I have made here.
My favorite way to get to know my fellow OWS ladies is through the monthly Twitter chats. The topics are broad; yet always spot on to what I need in my business at that moment. Plus, I am always meeting someone new in the chat to connect with over mutual love of Starbucks, Netflix, and Taylor Swift. I hope to be hosting a Twitter party of my own via OWS sometime soon about branding in web design.
The OWS membership has been an extremely valuable asset to my business and I would not hesitate to join again. I highly recommend it time and time again to any woman that I meet who is looking to get into business for herself!”

“Having our founders be accessible and transparent are priceless perks I’ve yet to find in any other community like it.”
“One Woman Shop has been a haven in my endeavors. I had come across OWS about a year prior, and although I thought It was a great concept at the time, the timing in my own life wasn’t so great. After triumphing a high-risk pregnancy and hyperemesis gravidarum, my financial life had fallen to ruin and my employer refused to make a place for me as Social Media Manager although I’d successfully managed their social media platforms for 2 years.
Shortly after the birth of my son, I decided to step down and launch a social media marketing firm. Without a mentor or network of successful entrepreneurs at my disposal, I needed a tight-knit community of successful business owners and career women that actually didn’t mind me picking their brains or asking for help.
The One Woman Shop Facebook Group has been my go-to place for feedback, critiques and encouragement in the launch of my new business. Cristina and Sara are super engaged in the community and always offers actionable suggestions to help tackle my goals. Having our founders be accessible and transparent are priceless perks I’ve yet to find in any other community like it. I truly no longer feel that I’m going at it alone!”

“I love the valuable lessons I learn from knowing other women…”
Being apart of a community that is not afraid to share or help each other is what really motivates and drives me to move forward with my entrepreneurial goals. I love the valuable lessons I learn from knowing other women who meet challenges head-on and reach for the stars!
