Maybe it’s investing part of your business profits with Kiva to give micro-entrepreneurs a hand up, using your awesome copywriting skills to help a local non-profit, getting a group of local One Woman Shops together for a volunteer workday (Triangle area women- get on the list here!), or offering a sliding scale fee so that lower income individuals can benefit from your products and services- or all of the above.
For us, it’s taking time out of our go-go-go solopreneur life to head down to Honduras with Habitat for Humanity to build houses, visit orphanages, and spend time with the elderly.
We consider ourselves savvy business women, so you’ll never hear us just ask for money- nope, we believe in offering value whenever possible- which is why we’re offering Pay What It’s Worth (PWIW) pricing on some of our offerings when you make a (tax-deductible!) donation to our fundraising efforts.
